Time to get serious about the trip to Europe. I have made lists and bought the essentials but it is now time to see how little I can pack to make my life as simple as is possible. I went to the airport this morning and sat in different spots looking at the luggage that was allowed to proceed through security. One check in, one small carry on and one other bag (laptop, or camera bag or purse). As the Delta clerk told me everything must be in the two bags as I pass through security. He suggested putting the laptop in the carry on and the camera bag in a small day pack. I will be handling all the bags myself in London-from the airport, train and taxi to the hotel. Fun.

Patsy needs help with her huge Christmas tree-when she is ready I will drive to Benton today to help decorate.

Saturday after Thanksgiving

It is only eight weeks until I fly to London for a week and then to Rome for another week. Everything is paid for except for the Rome apartment and food thanks to Kroger's retirement gift. I must get serious about planning my free days in London and Rome. I have tours in both cities but I have set aside 3 days in each city to see the sights.
